  • "JANA WAS AN ABSOLUTE LIFELINE FOR ME AND MY HUSBAND AS WE WERE NEW PARENTS TO OUR NEWBORN DAUGHTER.

Our relatives lived far from us, and we had no support just days after our daughter was born. Jana's patience and warm approach to assisting me as a new mom and caring for my daughter was extremely valuable. Jana's knowledge as a postpartum doula is top of class. Her kind approach will not disappoint. I am so grateful for her assistance, and 5 years later, I still use Jana's tips in raising our daughter. Your family will love her services!”

    Kelly B. | Berlin, MD

  • "YOU AND YOUR BABY CAN BE IN NO BETTER HANDS THAN THOSE OF JANA.

She gives you sisterly love and attention as she helps you transition into motherhood and organizes your life accordingly. She empowers you with tools and kindness you need to get the best start on your journey.”

    Ashley W. | Vienna, VA

  • "...I COULD GO ON FOR DAYS BUT IT STILL WOULDN'T BE ENOUGH TO SHOW HOW AMAZING JANA IS!

I promise if you welcome her into your family, you will gain a friend for life.”

Dominic R. | Upper Marlboro, MD

  • "JANA HAS TRULY MADE A DIFFERENCE IN NOT ONLY MY LIFE, THE LIFE OF MY FAMILY, BUT IN MY OVERALL OUTLOOK.

There are many wonderful things that I can say about Jana. A few words that come to mind are mindful, thoughtful, loving, and knowledgeable. She also, has the perfect level of assertiveness to support new or experienced mamas. Most of the time, whether you are a new or experienced mom, it’s hard to let your walls down and be able to trust that someone truly has your best interest and wellbeing at heart, but I was able to find this in Jana. She is attentive, intentional and has the wonderful ability to recognize the places in which she can ease the burdens and create maximum capacity and efficiency.”

SUPPORTED, EMPOWERED and NURTURED

Whether it is a family’s first or fifth baby or an adoption, there are many benefits to having postpartum support.

Vulnerable new mothers need help that is not often available to them and many families lack a support system where they live. As a postpartum doula the primary goal is to “mother the mother” by providing physical, emotional and informational assistance to help transition through the newborn period and leave the family feeling supported, nurtured and empowered.

  • The primary goal of a postpartum doula is to “mother the mother” by providing physical, emotional and informational assistance to help transition families through the newborn period and leave the family feeling encouraged. In the weeks following birth or an adoption, a postpartum doula provides physical support as the family recovers and adjusts to their new normal. Support looks different for each family, but most often includes providing the opportunity for the new mother to catch up on much needed rest and self-care. It is also a time to offer breastfeeding support and assist all family members with newborn care.

  • While I’m sure your four-legged baby is adorable, I only work in households with two-legged cute babies at this time.

  • Weekday, daytime support between the hours of 8am-5pm is offered. I am happy to offer referrals if you are looking for night or weekend support.

  • I am fully vaccinated and boosted and for the protection of your family as well as my own, I will provide care wearing a KN-95 mask. Upon entering your home I will immediately remove my shoes and wash my hands.

If you or anyone in your household is experiencing Covid symptoms please inform me immediately and we can reschedule the visit for a time when everyone is feeling better. Likewise, if I become ill with Covid-19 or have a direct exposure I will notify the family and reschedule for everyone’s safety.
